Steve and Tonya Bramlage

After living in Nashville, Tennessee, for many years, Steve and Tonya Bramlage decided to move to Puerto Rico in 2016, where they planned to enjoy Isle de Encanto life to the fullest. Hurricane Maria's impact on the island in 2017 changed all that. On an unexpected visit to Southwest Florida, Steve and Tonya recognized just how rich the natural beauty, wildlife, and water is on and around Cape Haze, and decided to change course. The Bramlages relocated to Florida in 2018.

Steve and Tonya are involved with nature conservation and education, water monitoring in Lemon Bay, public speaking, and leading eco tours at Lemon Creek Wildflower Preserve. Tonya is the Communication and Outreach Director at Lemon Bay Conservancy. Steve and Tonya believe like Jane Goodall, “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
