New Member Induction

At their monthly dinner meeting on June 19, 2018 the members and guests of the Business and Professional Women of Englewood and Venice (BPWEV) welcomed Dee Danmeyer as a new member to their organization. Esther Bird conducted the induction ceremony.

Dee is the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of South Sarasota County, Inc. Her role as a community leader and expertise in helping women and their families find affordable housing will make her a valuable addition to BPWEV.

BPWEV meets every third Tuesday of each month at the Left Coast Seafood Restaurant in Venice. The public is always invited. For more information go to www.bpwev.org

BPW Englewood/Venice

BPW is not like any other organization.

The mission of BPW shall be to achieve equity for all working women through advocacy, education and connections.

This organization was founded in 1919 and is unique in that it has a long history of advocating for women and is still passionately and effectively engaged in assuring equal rights, equal pay and equal opportunities in the workforce. Every working woman has benefited from the efforts of this organization in Education Foundation, Scholarships, Public Policy, Equal Pay and Lobbying for Women's Rights.

What We Do

Professional Development

Attend workshops and programs designed to enhance professional skills and leadership abilities such as Individual Development, Women in Transition, Young Careerist and the BPWEV/FL Leadership Institute.

Personal Development

Supporting each other is how we accomplish everything we do. Growing, expanding and trying new things is always better when you do it with others.

Scholarships

Assist women through scholarships to further formal education at the local level and through BPWEV/FL's Education Foundation.

Community charity resized

Special events are held throughout the year to raise funds for local charitable events and other causes relevant to working women.
