HeidemarieHeidemarie was born in Austria, but grew up in Frankfurt, Germany.  They were refugees, since her mother was from a part of Germany that is now Poland and her father's home was Czech after the war.  Heidemarie moved to the United States in 1966.

Heidemarie and her husband Paul moved to Englewood 25 years ago. She had worked for a photographer in Upstate NY for seven years and opened her own photography studio after moving here.

Heidemarie and Paul will celebrate their 30th anniversary this year.  They met as camp counselors at a Methodist Youth camp in Upstate NY.  She was divorced with two children when they met.  Her daughter, Josefine (Josie) lives in Frankfurt, Germany with her German husband Stefan and has two children.  Josie works as an English teacher at a private school.  Her son Derrill lives in Upstate NY, is married to Carolyn, owns a heating and plumbing company, and has three daughters.

Heidemarie's business is a full service studio handling work from passport photographs to commercial assignments. She belongs to four professional photography associations and participates in competitions.  She earned her Master Photography Degree and last year received the Florida Degree of Photographic Excellence.

Heidemarie loves animals and enjoys her three cats.  Hobbies are ice skating (currently taking lessons), rollerblading, astronomy and swimming. She is on the Tourism Committee for the Chamber and for the Charlotte County Tourism Bureau.  She and Paul are delegates for the United Methodist Children's Home for the Boca Grande United Methodist Church.

Heidemarie joined BPWEV in March of 2006. She loved the sunshine and moonshine sharing as well as stating your business at every meeting. It made it easier to get to know the other members and she says she can truly feel the sisterhood within the group.
