Carol is a third generation Floridian who was born in Tampa and raised in Dunedin, an old town known for the "artsy" little shops that are downtown. It is the sister city to Sterling Scotland and has a well know Scottish Highlander High School Band. After attending Florida State University to become an RN, she lived in Citrus County, Florida and moved "south" to Englewood in 2006. Carol is newly married (a year and a half) to husband Todd. Between the two of them they have three children: Todd's two children Rose and T.J., both live in Colorado, and Carol's daughter Marissa who lives in Tampa. They have one granddaughter, Joslyn, who is 5 months old and one grandbaby expected in November. Carol's daughter Marissa is single and will graduate a DOM, Doctor of Oriental Medicine in 2011. Carol is currently building the Inner Wellness Med Spa and combining three professions: Nurse Practitioner, Massage Therapist and esthetician (skin Care) to practice "Happy Medicine". The biggest challenge for Carol has been marketing her quality programs that are for both genders. Carol's interests are ballroom, country western and Latin dancing and has she participated in some competitions. She also likes kayaking, hiking, reading, weight lifting, keeping house and traveling.
Carol decided to join BPWEV because she needed to (1) learn from others about business and (2) get to know her new community. She is also a member of the Women's Group of Englewood Hospital and Women with Moxie.
