Spotlight: Ann Roggero
Written by Morina Chmielak

ann-roggero-smAnn is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, a city known for stockyards, farming, food conglomerates and insurance giant Mutual of Omaha.  She has two children, Daniel a student at State College of Florida and Melissa a senior at Pineview High School.  Both of her children are her pride and joy, and she is busy guiding Melissa on college choices for next year.

Ann is currently the Development Director of the State College of Florida Foundation in Venice. One of her many responsibilities is to raise funds for the foundation to support the college, a challenge she is prepared to meet, even
in our current financial environment. Ann was the CEO of the Venice campus before accepting her current position. Previously she was employed as Director of Human Resources and Vice President of HR in Kansas City, MO.

Ann loves to travel. She also enjoys kayaking, cooking and spending time with family and friends. A member of BPWEV for over a year, Ann joined because of the organization's commitment to women's issues. Ann did her thesis in college on the Equal Right Amendment and eagerly waits for the day it is ratified!

Ann mentors a young girl through the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.  She is currently active on the Board of the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Futures Program at Venice High School, Venice Regional Medical Center and South County Tiger Bay.
It's members like Ann, who give their time, energy and commitment that will help our organization grow.

Thank you Ann, welcome to BPW!
