Arlene Dodd was originally from Ridgewood, NJ, a bedroom community west of New York City.  Ridgewood is small and quaint, very much like Venice with a touch of the arts and culture of Sarasota mixed in.

Married to Rick, her high school sweetheart for forty two years, they keep in touch with their only daughter and two wonderful grandchildren who live near New York City.

Arlene has been in the physical fitness industry for the better part of her adult life. It is a passion she has and practices since she was a teen.
Arlene is an "authentic" pilates teacher, trained in New York City and has been teaching for many years. In 1998 she opened her own pilates studio which became one of the most respected and sought after studios in the area.

Arlene also enjoys biking, kayaking, in-line skating, reading and cooking Rick's favorite dinners. She joined BPW Englewood/Venice in 2009 and was impressed with the support and friendship extended to her by the members.
Her enthusiasm and motivation is welcomed by our local organization.
