BPW Englewood/Venice

BPW is not like any other organization.

This organization was founded in 1919 and is unique in that it has a long history of advocating for women and is still passionately and effectively engaged in assuring equal rights, equal pay and equal opportunities in the workforce. Every working woman has benefited from the efforts of this organization in Education Foundation, Scholarships, Public Policy, Equal Pay and Lobbying for Women's Rights.

We invite you to attend one of our meetings, learn more and join us!

Caroline Zucker
Written by Ann Roggero

caroline-zuckerWe are so pleased to have our very own Caroline Zucker as a presenter for our meeting on May 17th!  Caroline has managed nation-wide communications for an international company, produced a video on How to Prevent Heart Attacks, edited a children's magazine for Waldenbooks...and not to mention has been serving on the School Board for over 13 years!

Caroline's community involvement ranges from a multitude of state organizations associated with her School Board role, to the Mental Health and Substance Abuse consortium, Juvenile Justice Council, Business and Economic Development Advisory Board in North Port, as well as many others!  She has been the recipient of many awards such as the "Women in Power" Award given by the National Council of Jewish Women, the "Education Foundation Fellowship" Award from the American Association of University Women, the "ACE Leadership" Award for outstanding service to arts education and, my favorite, the "She Knows Where She's Going" Award given to her by Girl's Inc.

I, for one, can't wait to hear what this busy woman has to tell us and I am sure that her perspective on where women are today will be interesting as well as thought provoking!
