Tammy Young

Tammy-YoungCEO, Exquisite Events

With 25 years of experience in planning all types of events, Tammy has a passion for working with non-profits and corporations to plan, organize, implement and host events with pizzazz.

Working with small firms to multi-million-dollar corporations, Tammy develops and polishes numerous corporate events across the country, ranging from executive luncheons to seminars to team-building retreats to international conferences. Tammy connects with clients on a personal level to arrange, organize and execute events, always keeping in mind the big picture while implementing even the tiniest details to satisfy every client request.

Over the past several years, Tammy has been the lead event planner for national and international events at some of the country’s largest venues, such as the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville; Gaylord Texan in Dallas; Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas; Moody Gardens in Galveston; Paris, Bally’s and Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas; the Swan & Dolphin at Walt Disney World; and Rosen Shingle Creek and the Omni Champion’s Gate in Orlando.

Tammy’s services include creating hotel room blocks, establishing pricing, managing vendors, working with marketing teams, creating special mementos, collaborating with audio-video production companies, and planning “events within events” (such as ladies luncheons and golf tournaments).

Working with budgets of a couple thousand dollars for a special evening to million-dollar events spanning several days, Tammy has planned seminars with speakers such as John Maxwell and Daniel Ruediger of the movie “Rudy,” and has hosted Cirque du Soleil. She has also managed travel and excursions for once-in-a-lifetime trips to the Fairmont Kea Loni in Maui, Pago Pago Raratongo, and Aitutaki in the Cook Islands.

Locally, Tammy has established relationships with the Hyatt Regency Sarasota (where she recently planned a luncheon for 1,200 ladies) and the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota. She is known around town for her passion for working with non-profits and as host of Heart2Heart, a monthly event at the Church of Hope for more than 200 women.

Tammy has created a team of custom designers in food, décor and pastries that complement her attention to excellence. Her most recent accomplishments include hosting 1,500 women at the Florida District Conference in Orlando, and supplying all of the catering and décor for the upcoming Sarasota Junior League MerryMart Marketplace.

Tammy adores her husband of 23 years, Peter Wesley Young, and is a proud mother of their two young adult children, Christie, 18, and Wes, 20.
